New Brighton, U.S.-headquartered APi Group, a nearly 100-year-old life-safety solutions company, has announced plans to acquire Indianapolis-based fire-safety provider CertaSite, with the deal expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.

Founded in 2018, CertaSite operates across the Midwest, offering fire-safety products including fire extinguishers, alarms, and intercoms, alongside services such as system inspections and first-aid training.

The company is projected to generate approximately $90 million (€76.5 million) in revenue in 2025, with a significant portion coming from inspection and service of fire-protection systems.

An APi spokesperson highlighted the strategic fit, quoted as saying “We have a long-term target of having 60% or more of our annual net revenues generated from recurring inspection, service, and monitoring services across our business.”

The acquisition will bring 250 CertaSite technicians into the APi network, expanding its operational capacity and market reach. Jeff Wyatt, CertaSite’s CEO, described APi as “a long-term owner of businesses with a reputation of caring for and developing its team,” reinforcing the cultural and operational alignment between the companies.

APi Group, which owns more than 30 companies primarily in safety and construction services, operates over 500 locations globally and employs roughly 29,000 people. In October, APi reported a record third quarter with 14.2% year-on-year growth in net revenues, reaching nearly $2.1 billion (€1.785 billion), and expects full-year 2025 revenues to meet or exceed $7.9 billion (€6.715 billion).

The CertaSite acquisition follows APi’s recent purchase of Elevated, a Florida-based service provider for elevator and escalator equipment brands, for $570 million (€484.5 million), continuing its strategy of targeted expansion within life-safety and inspection services.
