Cuan Mhuire claimed both the Grand Prix and the Health & Safety Excellence Award - Healthcare at the Health & Safety Excellence Awards 2026, recognised for the Proactive Women's Health Initiative, a programme that addresses the significant and frequently overlooked healthcare needs of women entering addiction treatment in Ireland.
The Grand Prix, the highest honour the Health & Safety Excellence Awards confer, recognised the initiative's impact not just within the healthcare category but across the entire field of 2026 entries.

On the Healthcare category award, the panel added: "The Well Woman clinic stands out as a strong initiative, helping create a culture where prevention is normalised, accessible, and stigma free. The three-part women's health programme, including clear links to biological risks such as Hep B, shows a well-rounded and informed approach. A meaningful project that tackles real challenges while supporting long term wellbeing."
The Health & Safety Excellence Awards 2026 ceremony took place on 30 April 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry.
