Ranger Fire and Security has acquired Prestige Detection Systems Ltd (PDSL), a Limerick-based provider of fire, security, and emergency response systems, expanding its footprint in Ireland. The acquisition strengthens Ranger’s service offerings in Munster and Galway and enhances operational efficiency across its regional network.
PDSL, established in 2005, is known for its technical expertise and adherence to high standards in design and installation. The team’s experience complements Ranger’s existing fire and electronic security services, creating opportunities for cross-selling and improved service delivery to a diverse clientele, including multinational clients.
Managing Director Dave Enright will continue to lead PDSL’s operations alongside the existing team, maintaining continuity while enhancing capabilities and customer service. Ranger anticipates that closer regional collaboration will reduce engineer travel times and streamline operational processes, supporting faster response and higher service reliability.
Mark Bridges, CEO of Ranger Fire and Security, highlighted that the acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy to build a trusted network of customer-centric fire and security service providers across the UK and Ireland. He noted that the focus on compliance, quality, and customer service remains central to Ranger’s mission.
This acquisition is Ranger’s twelfth since its formation in early 2024 and its fourth in Ireland, following the acquisitions of KSS Fire Suppression, B-Safe Group, and Aqua Fire Prevention. Backed by Hyperion Equity Partners, Ranger continues to invest in technology and talent to deliver seamless fire and security solutions at both regional and national levels.
