Irish hygiene services company Rock Compliance has installed forward-facing camera systems from SureCam across its 200-vehicle fleet to enhance driver protection and manage insurance expenses, according to HGV Ireland.

The telematics implementation has delivered measurable reductions in risky driving behaviour and liability claims since deployment late last year.

Lewis Evans, Fleet & Warehouse Manager at Rock Compliance, noted fleet safety metrics have improved significantly following camera installation, generating cost efficiencies whilst protecting drivers and other motorists.

“The camera solution is going to make a huge difference to our fleet operation moving forward, providing the tools needed to minimise risk and boost performance,” he said.

The technology integration occurred during broader fleet modernisation following the company's acquisition by UK-based Andwis and subsequent operational expansion.

Rock Compliance coordinated with Enterprise to integrate cameras into new vehicles before delivery, eliminating implementation disruption.

The system has provided documented evidence resolving disputed incidents and enables rapid complaint investigation, reducing administrative burden and preventing unfounded claims.

Evans explained the objective centres on leveraging telematics data to strengthen driver behaviour and establish positive safety culture through targeted engagement and training initiatives.

The company maintains close collaboration with SureCam to maximise monitoring and reporting functionality.

Sam Footer, Strategic Partnership Director of SureCam, described the company's collaborative model working with fleet operators, leasing firms and technology partners to deliver integrated telematics solutions generating quantifiable investment returns.

“This has enabled us to integrate our industry-leading hardware and software with Rock Compliance’s operational processes, so they can benefit from clear results from day one,” he said.

Rock Compliance plans to extend camera deployment across its passenger vehicle fleet based on initial programme success.
