Silent risks

Safety isn’t always about what you can see. The real danger often lies in what goes unnoticed—gaps in systems, assumptions in routines, or the quiet stressors that wear down judgement. Recent audits, fines, and fatal incidents across agriculture, construction, and food show just how costly those blind spots can be. What ties them together isn’t just regulation or industry—it’s the need to stay alert to what isn’t obvious.

That means thinking beyond checklists. Real progress in health and safety comes when we challenge what’s been normalised and take silence as a warning, not reassurance.
