G6 Hospitality, headquartered in the United States, has introduced a comprehensive safety and security programme for its Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands.

Developed in partnership with the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association (THLA), the initiative addresses evolving risks in the economy lodging sector and provides practical guidance for franchisees, general managers, and frontline staff.

The pilot session in Dallas covered police interactions, guest privacy, firearms policies, active shooter preparedness, handling pets, and managing guest disturbances. It also included measures to reduce premises liability and strengthen insurance preparedness. Over 100 hospitality professionals attended from 15 states, including Texas, California, Florida, and Illinois, reflecting the widespread relevance of the programme.

Sonal Sinha, Chief Executive Officer of G6 Hospitality, said: "Our franchise partners are at the heart of every strategic decision we make. This national seminar program is a direct investment in their success, their safety, and their long-term growth. Through expert-led training modules, attendees gain practical knowledge on guest verification, incident response, local law enforcement collaboration, compliance requirements, and best practices that directly protect their business, employees, and guests."

Scott Joslove, President and CEO of THLA, added: "This program is built on real cases, real legal requirements, and real operational realities. Our goal is to equip hotel teams with clarity—what to look for, what to do, and how to work seamlessly with public safety agencies."

The programme will expand across major U.S. markets with in-person workshops, digital resources, and operational toolkits to ensure accessibility for franchise teams. G6 Hospitality emphasises that the initiative is designed to enhance franchisee resilience, operational confidence, and the safety of staff and guests in a rapidly changing environment.
