Northern Ireland’s fleet-safety software firm MANTIS has secured a strategic partnership and minority investment from Whiterock to drive international expansion.
The Belfast-based company uses AI-powered multi-camera safety technology and predictive analytics to prevent collisions, reduce insurance costs, and protect drivers.
As part of the deal, Whiterock’s investment director Graham Ferguson will join MANTIS’s board, providing insight from building a global technology company with over 2,500 employees. The investment positions MANTIS to scale operations across the UK, Europe, and through a new North American distribution agreement.
MANTIS CEO Harry Girvan said, “Our relationship with Whiterock is about far more than investment - it’s a strategic partnership that strengthens both our leadership and our capability to scale globally.” He added that Whiterock’s guidance will provide valuable insight as the company expands across the US and Europe.
The company noted that its AI-driven approach to fleet risk intelligence positions it at the forefront of a rapidly evolving global market, offering operators better oversight, early risk detection, and improved compliance with safety protocols.
Paul Millar, Whiterock’s CEO, commented that MANTIS exemplifies the type of high-growth, globally ambitious business their Growth Capital Fund was created to support. Millar said, “MANTIS’s technology, leadership team and international vision make it one of the most exciting scale-ups emerging from Northern Ireland.”
The partnership supports MANTIS’s strategic goals to expand operations in the UK and Europe while establishing a North American distribution channel. The investment is expected to strengthen the adoption of AI fleet-safety solutions, enhancing both safety and operational efficiency.
